New York City Engagement Session // The Sotolongo’s

When Franklin and Liz asked us to photograph their engagement session in New York City, we were over the moon! This is the perfect example of taking somewhere meaningful, and incorporating it into your photos. Franklin Proposed to Liz in NYC, so was only fitting that we return for an awesome, food, and good times filled adventure. Our day started in their room at the Park Central Hotel, where Liz got her makeup done by the talented, Michelle Stern. And off we were! We hit the ground running in typical New Yorker fashion and power-walked over to Central Park. It was truly a breath of fresh air as we enjoyed the autumn leaves, park swings, and a tasty, warm pretzel from a local park vendor. Our next stop was the Brooklyn bridge, where pedestrians couldn’t help but duck, as if they weren’t in our shots. This made for a pretty good laugh, given that we actually wanted random people walking by in a few photos. It was pretty nice of them, though. At this point we were feeling the cold in our bones, so we stopped by a local café in DUMBO for a steaming cup of hot chocolate. Once successfully thawed out, we did as the locals do and took the subway train down to Winter Village at Bryant Park. This is where we fell in love with the famous chimney cakes from The Stackery. The fear of diabetes was so real, but so worth it! Finally, our epic day came to a close at Grand Central Terminal, where we took some cool long exposure shots, and called it a night under their stunning, constellation painted ceiling. This was one for the books, y’all. And one of the many reasons why we absolutely love what we do, and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Thank you, Franklin and Liz for being a part of the LVS family.
